Modified VW and VAG Car Show GuideEvent
DescriptionFor the show that's dubbed the coolest! Why the coolest? Ask anyone, it just is. It is simply the show for all water cooled VW enthusiasts. For many years, thousands of visitors to the Gti Festival have sampled the laid back atmosphere. 2007 is actually the 15th running of the event.
Over the years the show has seen some stunning vehicles and some superb events. The venue has changed a few times, but for years now, the Santa Pod Raceway facility has meant that the focus of the show is on an accurate quarter-mile sprint, which is open to all-comers all day long. Apart from the fantastic value for money 'as many runs as you like, all day' deal, there is also the fact that you are driving on a superb purpose built surface, and using world record standard calibrated timing. We also would like to pay tribute to, and remind you of, the fire/safety staff, medical staff, and marshals, all of whom are there for your safety. They are the most practiced and efficient staff in Europe. Basically, you are getting the absolute best available when you sprint at the Gti Festival. But itís not all about the º mile. Some will come to show their cars, others to look at the show cars, and some will just come to spend, spend, spend, at the trade stands. But Why ever you come, just come. And enjoy! Venue
