WHAT'S ON AT BUG JAM 22:
VW DRAG RACING
The VWDRC take to the track with race classes even more packed than ever. With open practice on Saturday, and qualifying and eliminations on Sunday, you're sure to see plenty of the fastest, maddest VWs in Europe! Wheelies and close racing are guaranteed!
VW RUN WHAT YA BRUNG
Get your own VW on the track on Friday 11am - 8pm (£10) and Saturday 9am - 3pm (£20), unlimited runs and a full performance print out for each run. Don't forget to bring your driving licence if you want to use the track. Strictly VWs ONLY. |
VW SHOW & SHINE
On Sunday the best VW showcars in the country will be on display competing to win the Bug Jam trophies and prizes from Autoglym, judged by UK VW experts.
Enter on the day, Strictly VWs ONLY. CAMPING AT BUG JAM
Camping is included with all weekend tickets bought in advance or on the gate. As well as general camping there is club camping and family camping. Please ask for a pass at the gate if you wish to go into family camping, you will need kids with you. |
DEMO CARS
Get ready for Martin Hill's Fireforce 3, the mind-blowing 270mph, world's fastest Jet Funny Car, which this year will be joined by Roger Goring's Firestorm Jet Funny Car.
Also running will be Blue Max the spectacular Jet Beetle, plus the 7 second Santa Pod 2 Seater Dragster will be out on Saturday.

FUNFAIR
All the fun of the fair with dodgems, arcades, candy floss, sideshows and all the stomach churning rides you'll need.
MR & MISS BUG JAM
Love it or hate it, Bug Jam 22 will have it's Mr & Miss and it could be you! To enter, register backstage on the day.
The donut king Terry Grant will be performing stunt displays and for the first time ever Terry will be using a purpose built Beetle.
Off track there will be big air jumps and tricks from the UKFMX Freestyle Motocross riders.
MUSIC
Bug Jam once again hosts four music arenas including the Redstripe Main Stage, on both Friday and Saturday evenings, catering for all tastes from indie and dance djs through to live bands and tribute acts. We promise you won't be able to control your dancing feet in 2008! |
COMEDY
There will be top comedians on Saturday and Sunday, including up and coming new acts and established pros to tickle your ribs.
MONSTER TRUCK
Santa Pod's own Podzilla will be crushing everything in it's path on Saturday and Sunday. Get ready to cheer as Novas and Saxos get what's coming.
SKATE RAMP
Top skaters, BMX riders, and mini scooterists will be performing on the Bug Jam skate ramp over the weekend! And when they're not the skate ramp will be open to all so bring your bike or board if you want to get involved. |
VW TRADERS
If you're looking for car parts, want a cool t-shirt or fancy a lowrider bicycle to get round site, you'll find it all in the Bug Jam trade area
BUG PUSH
Bug Push is back! Where if you’re going to have four mates and a Beetle at Bug Jam, you can compete in the high speed (up to 5mph!) world of human-powered drag racing. The races take place during the lunch breaks on the dragstrip. |

MOBILE DYNO
The Rapid GB Dyno will be at Bug Jam, allowing anyone to get a full power and torque readout and some tuning advice from the experts using some of the latest and most accurate mobile dyno kit available. Take part in the Horse Power Heroes competition that will run throughout the year, details and prices at www.rapid-gb.co.uk.
Santa Pod Raceway in the UK is the home of European Drag Racing and host to the televised FIA European Drag Racing Championships. It's the fastest and loudest motorsport on earth with sensational race action from dragsters and doorslammers to beetles and bikes.
Santa Pod hosts over 50 events during the race season Jan-Nov, including: National drag race meetings, classic car events, modified car shows (The Fast Show and USC), VW Beetle & Camper festivals (Bug Jam and Big Bang), Japanese performance car events (The JapShow), specialist events (Performance Vauxhall Show, Classic Ford show, Run What Ya Brung (RWYB) public track days and much more!
